Help and FAQs
Make the shelf work for you.
Find your next topic, read at your own pace, and use the practice to check what you understand.
1
Find your subject
Choose a course, semester, and subject. Open a unit to see its chapters. The topic filter inside a note narrows the subject navigation.
2
Read and work through it
Adjust text size and font, use Focus mode, and jump between sections with On this page. Reproduce each worked example before checking the answer.
3
Return and revise
Save useful chapters on this device. Try the tagged questions with answers closed, then expand them to compare your reasoning.
Common questions
No. You can read published notes, search, and save pages without signing in. Saved notes and reading preferences stay in the browser you are using.
No. Coverage means Study Shelf has published material for that syllabus topic. It does not track your learning progress. Use the worked examples, revision prompts, and questions to check your understanding.
The concepts are useful beyond one university. The MCA organisation follows the supplied Vinoba Bhave University CBCS syllabus. Compare your own subject outline and assessment requirements with the chapter topics before planning exam revision.
Bookmarks use local browser storage and do not sync between devices or browser profiles. Clearing site data or leaving a private browsing session can remove them. Keep a copy of important page links if you want to use them elsewhere.
Use Print in the note toolbar, then choose a printer or your browser’s Save as PDF option. The print layout hides navigation and shows question answers. Preview the result before saving, especially for wide tables and diagrams.
Easy questions check explanations; medium questions ask you to apply or compare ideas; hard questions explore assumptions and trade-offs. Tags identify exam, interview, practical, or curious-learner practice. Use + to reveal an answer and - to close it.
No. Current chapter questions are original practice. Verified previous-year questions will be identified with their paper, year, question number, and source when they are added.
Study Shelf does not currently offer a guaranteed offline library. Save a note as a PDF through Print before going offline. A saved bookmark is a link, not an offline copy of the chapter.
Use the Study Shelf Contact page. For a correction, include the chapter link, section heading, the issue, and your suggested correction or supporting reference.
